Film exposure is the process in which a negative or contact film is created from a digital image using light. This film serves as the template for the printing process and is primarily used in traditional lithography and the production of printing plates. The film is exposed using special machines, which transfer the print image onto the film.
In today’s print production, especially in offset and screen printing, film is still frequently used to create precise and detailed printing templates. The film plays a central role, ensuring that the final print image is transferred accurately and sharply onto the printing plate. Especially for high-quality printed products that require high color accuracy and detail, film remains indispensable.
Although the use of film is decreasing with the advancement of digital printing technologies, it remains an important tool in certain areas, such as specialized printing processes or for very high-quality print products, where a perfect final result is essential.
While our machines are primarily designed for direct imaging of printing forms, they still offer the capability to expose conventional films in various resolutions. This allows us to easily meet specific requirements that can only be achieved through the use of film, ensuring the highest level of flexibility.
