Embossing is a noble printing technique where raised or recessed textures are created by pressing forms onto the material. This technique gives printed products a luxurious tactile feel and is often used for business cards, invitations, or high-quality packaging. Without the use of color, unique, three-dimensional effects are created that capture attention. Embossing can also be combined with other printing techniques to create particularly striking accents. Any irregularities in the plate material are automatically balanced during exposure, ensuring flawless quality.

Our flatbed UV exposers, MultiDX! and MiniMulti!, are ideal for direct imaging of embossing dies. Since all materials used, such as magnesium, copper, zinc, brass, and steel, are rigid, they can only be precisely and reliably imaged on a UV flatbed exposer.

Direct imaging results in significantly more accurate and efficient outcomes compared to conventional film-based technology. This reduces potential errors, saves time, and enhances the overall quality of embossing die production.
